The daily nudge

Most players find two or three things they like here and stop looking. That is a reasonable way to use a platform with fifteen of them, and it is also how somebody ends up never discovering the one they would have loved.

So once a day, on the Launchpad, you may get a single suggestion.

How often

Once every three days at most, and never twice running with the same suggestion. It works through everything you have not tried, one at a time, and comes back round about a month later with whatever you still have not done.

A different card every single morning would be a different card every single morning for ten days, then three weeks of nothing. This is a trickle instead.

When it appears

Only when your recent activity covers four or fewer of the platform's fifteen things. It has nothing to do with how much you play. Some of the busiest accounts here are also the narrowest, and they are exactly who this is for; somebody already spread across ten games is left alone.

It also waits until your account is set up, so it never appears alongside the Start Here checklist.

What it suggests

One thing, and always something you can act on immediately. The order runs from least friction to most:

  1. Assemble a Fighter, if you are holding traits you have not built with. This comes first because the parts are already yours.
  2. Establish a realm, if you do not have one. A realm unlocks raids and Realm Guardians.
  3. Something you are already equipped for but have not tried: the Arena once you have three Fighters, Guardians or raiding once you have a realm.
  4. Drop Ship, which needs nothing at all. Four free soldiers are waiting, and the four of them make a complete squad.
  5. A game that needs nothing but a browser, if none of the above applies.

It never suggests something you already do, including the ones you only do occasionally, and it will not send you somewhere that would turn you away. Two spare traits is not enough to build a Fighter, so it does not offer.

Making it go away

Not now, and not for a week hides it for seven days, which is longer than the normal gap.

It also stops asking by itself. If you are offered ten different things over two months and take up none of them, that is an answer, and it goes quiet for three months rather than carrying on. Clicking any suggestion resets that, so only someone who never engages at all is ever rested.

And it goes quiet permanently the moment you are no longer narrow. Try enough different things and you drop out of the group it talks to. Anything you have already been shown will not come back for a month, so ignoring a suggestion gets you a different one next time rather than the same card again. Once everything has been offered recently, it stops on its own.

See DHC Fighters, Realms and Drop Ship for the things it points at.
